Helen Humphreys

Helen graduated from the Queen Elizabeth School of Physiotherapy, Birmingham in 1992 with a Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy. She then gained experience in all aspects of physiotherapy at a large teaching hospital in Manchester before moving to London to specialize in musculo-skeletal physiotherapy.

During this period Helen also worked with the England RFU Under 16 and Under 18 squads providing physiotherapy for training camps, matches and tours, and worked as team physiotherapist for Manchester and Barnet Rugby Clubs.

In 1997 Helen moved to Cambridge to a senior musculo-skeletal physiotherapist position at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, gaining further experience in out-patients, orthopaedics, A&E, Chronic Back Pain and hydrotherapy. In addition to her clinical workload, she was later appointed Research Physiotherapist on ‘The Cambridge Shoulder Programme’ - a project headed by Dr Brian Hazleman.

In November 2000 Helen joined the BUPA Cambridge Lea Hospital as Senior Out-Patient Physiotherapist. She has also gained experience in Private Practice based primarily at health and fitness clubs around Cambridge, and has previously been an associate of Susanne’s prior to her move to Penn Farm.

Following a career break to raise her children, Helen returned to Addenbrooke’s Hospital before joining Penn Farm Physiotherapy in May 2016.

During her career Helen has taken every opportunity to consolidate her knowledge and clinical expertise by attending numerous courses, and most recently gained a ‘Certificate in Spinal Manual Therapy’.
